Privacy Policy

What we collect

Warranty Pilot collects only the data necessary to provide warranty tracking:

• Customer name and email (from Shopify orders)
• Product and order information (titles, IDs, fulfillment dates)
• Warranty policy settings you configure
• Shop domain and session tokens for authentication

How we use it

• Create and manage warranty registrations
• Send email notifications (confirmations, reminders)
• Display warranty status on the lookup page
• Show analytics on your dashboard

Data storage

Data is stored securely in our database. We do not sell, share, or transfer personal data to third parties except as needed to provide our service (e.g., Resend for email delivery).

GDPR compliance

We handle all mandatory Shopify GDPR webhooks:

• Customer data request - We export all warranty data for the customer and email it to you.
• Customer redaction - We anonymize all personal data in warranty registrations.
• Shop redaction - We delete all data associated with your shop on uninstall.

Data retention

Warranty data is retained as long as you use the app. When you uninstall, all shop data is permanently deleted within 48 hours.
